Worksheets

Worksheets are an easy way to work with a deal structure, right from the lead. It doesn't clutter your main deals list when you're working with a worksheet, but when you're ready to close the deal you can just convert it into the deal in a click!

If you want to know more about editing worksheets, check out Working with Deals. Most of the functionality is very similar.

Creating a Worksheet

Creating a worksheet can be done from the Vehicles section in a lead. Just click the blue plus icon next to a page, and you'll create a worksheet! If a worksheet has already been created, this icon will simply look like a page icon and you can click it to open the previously created and worked worksheet.

Syncing with Lead

Any changes to the customer, vehicle, or trade will automatically be synced between the lead and the worksheet until the Worksheet has been Converted to a Deal. After that, the deal (while still accessible to the lead) will not automatically get updated by changes to the lead, or vice versa.

Convert to Deal

Once you're ready to close the deal and print paperwork, click the Convert to Deal button. This will provide you all the deal functionality so you can finish up the deal.

Worksheets on Search Vehicles

Worksheets can also be created on Search Vehicles (SV) which is handy when you're quoting a customer or working with them on a brokered deal. Once you convert the worksheet to a deal, the vehicle will automatically be stocked into inventory.

Worksheets vs Deals

Worksheets and deals are very similar but have a few differences:

  • Worksheets don't show up in the deals list.
  • Worksheets can't print forms.
    • There is a setting that can enable this depending on your workflow.
  • Worksheets can't have payments on them.
  • Worksheets can be created on non-inventory vehicles (like search vehicles).
  • Worksheets sync information with the lead.
