There are three different ways to route incoming leads to salespeople:
Navigate to your general settings by going to Manage > Settings > General > Leads and then scroll down until you see the checkbox, "Auto Assign Incoming Leads" and then click on it.
Next, click on "Add Rule." This will open up a box where you can insert the rules for the auto-assign feature. This will let you:
If you want all of your salespeople to receive leads every day of the week, you'll want to add all of your sales team in the "Included Users" section and then select all the days that employees will be working.
If you want your salespeople to receive leads on certain days of the week, you'll need to first create an "Everybody Works" rule. For this rule, you must:
Next, you'll need to create a set of rules for each salesperson's day off. For example, if Forrest's Day Off is Monday, you'll need to create a rule that:
The following rule will account for Courtney's Day Off, which is Tuesday:
The last rule will cover Zach's Day Off, which is Wednesday:
Once you're finished setting up the rules, your sales team should start being auto-assigned incoming leads by this system!
Another method for routing leads is to have all incoming leads assigned to one individual, who would then disperse them among the sales team.
The setup for this method will work as a simplified version of the round-robin system outlined above. Instead of creating multiple rules following the days of the week and your staff's availability, however, you'll create a single rule with the appointed sales person and all the days of the week you want him or her to receive the leads.
With this method, only the user, Zach, will be auto-assigned leads in the system on all days. It'll be his responsibility to disperse those leads to the sales staff.
This method avoids the setup of any auto-assigning feature and instead allows incoming leads to populate into the system without being assigned to a particular salesperson.
Incoming leads will naturally populate in the Leads Main Page without a salesperson attached to them, and it's up to the individual salesperson to assign leads to themselves.
