Needs Attention

Needs Attention is a powerful part of the Leads Platform that enables you to quickly see which leads need your attention, and what order you should work on them in. There are a number of factors that determine which leads get flagged as needing attention, and there can be multiple items that need attention on one lead. If you are seeing the number icon next to "Leads" in your toolbar shown below, that is the number of individual items that need attention.

Needs Attention Factors:

  • New lead (unassigned)
  • Unread text
  • Unread email
  • Due task
  • Appointment scheduled today

Sorting

To sort by Needs Attention, click on the arrow at the top of the second column on your main leads page (see image below). When you sort by Needs Attention, your leads are shown in the following order:

  1. New Leads
    • "New" in this case means Unassigned.
  2. Unread message (text or email)
    • If a lead has an unread message that hasn't been clicked on, responded to, or read.
  3. Due Tasks
    • A task is considered to be “Due” if any of the following applies:
      • If a task is due as of today
      • If it will become due within the next 24 hours
      • If a task is overdue (and has not been marked complete in the lead)
    • All leads with due tasks will be included in the Needs Attention view. Leads with more due tasks will be shown first.
  4. After the above 3 items have been determined, leads are provided in the order that they were originally created.

After any unassigned leads, the Unread Messages and Due Tasks will first be shown for leads assigned to you (in green), and then be shown for leads assigned to others (in black) if you have access to see all leads. The leads that are assigned to you will always show before leads assigned to others when sorting by Needs Attention.

Filtering

You can see all the leads that need your attention by filtering the Status to Needs Attention. This will show you leads that have one of the above factors on them, regardless of whether they're marked Active, Lost, or Sold. This makes it easy for you to follow up with new prospects, existing leads, or sold deals and customer follow-up.
